Backing from two godfathers of rock is spurring The Marra on as they launch their debut single Falling Off.
Praise from Noel Gallagher and Paul Weller has preceded the release of this track, the Derry-formed band’s first.
“I truly believe there is something special brewing if we keep our heads down and put in the work,” guitarist Shane MacGowan said.
The boys bring a raw intensity that we didn’t have before. All the other lads inspire me to be a better musician and songwriter.
“It’s surreal to have legends like Noel Gallagher and Paul Weller backing us,” fellow guitarist Matthew Crossan added.
“I think we’re just going to throw the kitchen sink at it – because talent is one thing, but you need a mindset, you need ambition. Us five lads have that.”
