Technopolice: Chien De La Casse
(Howlin’ Banana/Idiotape/Ganache)
LP | CASS | DL
Out 26th September, 2025
French garage-egg-punks Technopolice hit our radar with egg-cellent debut album, Chien De La Casse, a riot of wired guitars and synths firing at will.
By god, this is a glorious announcement of arrival to the world! Technopolice are here to batter down your doors with their gonzo-garage egg-punk blasts. The energy that they inject, right from the off on early single Helltastic Mr Pox, is as infectious as they come as they rocket through a blast of cranked up guitars, fairground-line synths, and loony lyrics. A more riotously joyful introduction to a new band you are unlikely to find. It immediately puts them in line with fellow countrymen The Scaners, with Italian psych-garage band Bee Bee Sea, the new new-wave rise of bands like Delivery, A. Swayze & The Ghosts. Technopolice are running with a great pack, an underground international scene that just keeps delivering.
The live recording brims with verve across the album’s eleven tracks, whether it is continuing with the playful vibe on the title track or spitting out wicked and wired modulating and twanging riffs on songs like Sortir Le Soir. When they push the pedal further, they bring the battering of People. With this, Human, and Nuclear, they give us rosbifs a peek inside their world, one of absurd urban snapshots and social irony. If you need it, you’ve got an in, but with such joie de vivre, you really don’t. Just hit play and dance!
Every song seems like another off-kilter classic, collages of sounds and rhythms that jut, stutter and start, filtered through their warped minds. A junkyard, they describe it as, and that suits the album just fine. One full of chaos, hiding diamonds in the rough, every turn a corridor of twisted remains waiting to topple. Chien De La Casse is a blast from start to finish and well worth bringing off your GCSE French for.

A Plea From Louder Than War
Louder Than War is run by a small but dedicated independent team, and we rely on the small amount of money we generate to keep the site running smoothly. Any money we do get is not lining the pockets of oligarchs or mad-cap billionaires dictating what our journalists are allowed to think and write, or hungry shareholders. We know times are tough, and we want to continue bringing you news on the most interesting releases, the latest gigs and anything else that tickles our fancy. We are not driven by profit, just pure enthusiasm for a scene that each and every one of us is passionate about.
To us, music and culture are eveything, without them, our very souls shrivel and die. We do not charge artists for the exposure we give them and to many, what we do is absolutely vital.
