Edinburgh, UK — The shadows are gathering once again as The Deadinburgh Festival returns for its highly anticipated second year, bringing two days of dark elegance, driving rhythms, and iconic Goth atmosphere to La Belle Angele, Edinburgh.
Taking place on 10–11 July 2026, the 2026 edition promises to build on its debut year with a huge selection of the finest goth acts around!
Headlining this year’s festival are two giants of the scene: John McKay’s Reactor, delivering that genre defining sound that we all love, and Ausgang, bringing their unmistakable energy and raw gothic punk attitude to the Edinburgh stage.
Joining them is a formidable roster representing the depth and evolution of Goth, post-punk, and dark alternative music, including:
Skeletal Family
Balaam and the Angel
Ghost Dance
Inkubus Sukkubus
Salvation
Screaming Dead
Chaos Bleak
Post Ironic State
Voodoo Twins
Rose of Avalanche
13th Chime
Building on its successful launch, The Deadinburgh Festival 2026 offers a new and larger venue and an even richer celebration of the culture, community, and sound that defines Goth. Expect a weekend of atmospheric performances, immersive ambiance, and a rare opportunity to see some of the genre’s most beloved artists in an intimate venue at the heart of Edinburgh’s Old Town.
Weekend tickets are available now for £60 + booking fee. Fans are encouraged to secure tickets early, as last year’s event reached capacity quickly.

A Plea From Louder Than War
Louder Than War is run by a small but dedicated independent team, and we rely on the small amount of money we generate to keep the site running smoothly. Any money we do get is not lining the pockets of oligarchs or mad-cap billionaires dictating what our journalists are allowed to think and write, or hungry shareholders. We know times are tough, and we want to continue bringing you news on the most interesting releases, the latest gigs and anything else that tickles our fancy. We are not driven by profit, just pure enthusiasm for a scene that each and every one of us is passionate about.
To us, music and culture are eveything, without them, our very souls shrivel and die. We do not charge artists for the exposure we give them and to many, what we do is absolutely vital. Subscribing to one of our paid tiers takes just a minute, and each sign-up makes a huge impact, helping to keep the flame of independent music burning! Please click the button below to help.
