Saturday 31st January is the day some of us have earmarked to spend another day at Esquires in Bedford for another mouthwatering line-up of bands some of us already love, alongside one or two we’ve still yet to familiarise ourselves with.
Our annual visit to Bedford’s Esquires venue in June has now turned into a bi-annual event, thanks to the people who have arranged such fabulous entertainment during past Ceremony events some of us have been very fortunate to attend.
A short train journey for those of us in central London, and another strong line up that gives little time to pause for a rest, is a great way to see some of the up and coming acts we’ll all be going to see again in their own right if previous Ceremony line-ups are any indication for what to expect.
Separated by a flight of stairs. these two rooms will play host to a non-stop marathon of new music which will take place during Independent Venue Week on Saturday 31st January 2026.
With a reduced capacity compared to its sister event in the summer, and possibly one or two acts still to be added to the bill, we recommend booking early.
Tickets are £27.50 in advance, available now from Seetickets and from Slide Record Shop & Esquires Bar (with no booking fees).
There’s no time like the present to commit yourselves to a day inside one of the country’s favourite small venues to witness some of your forthcoming favourite bands.

A Plea From Louder Than War
Louder Than War is run by a small but dedicated independent team, and we rely on the small amount of money we generate to keep the site running smoothly. Any money we do get is not lining the pockets of oligarchs or mad-cap billionaires dictating what our journalists are allowed to think and write, or hungry shareholders. We know times are tough, and we want to continue bringing you news on the most interesting releases, the latest gigs and anything else that tickles our fancy. We are not driven by profit, just pure enthusiasm for a scene that each and every one of us is passionate about.
To us, music and culture are eveything, without them, our very souls shrivel and die. We do not charge artists for the exposure we give them and to many, what we do is absolutely vital. Subscribing to one of our paid tiers takes just a minute, and each sign-up makes a huge impact, helping to keep the flame of independent music burning! Please click the button below to help.
