Richard Ashcroft’s gig goes on sale from July 18th.
Richard Ashcroft will extend a big spell of UK touring with a headline gig at Manchester’s Co-op Live later this year.
It’ll take place on November 8th, following the release of his upcoming new album Lovin You and the high profile support tour with Oasis which launched in Cardiff earlier this month; another strong bond formed with a band whom he recently revealed he’d have been happy to join back in 1999.
“I’ve supported them as The Verve many times,” he told BBC Radio 2. “And I’ve also in a way been there from almost the beginning.”
When Bonehead left the band, I happened to be in the studio. I came down with a guitar pretending like, you know… and I would have taken the job, to be honest. I’d have been happy. I’d have been happy strumming along to those tunes, you know what I mean? Big weight off my shoulders, just have a laugh.
